Sundance Vacations Supports the Weinberg Food Bank

This Winter, the Sundance Vacations Customer Experience Department from the corporate office came together to create a “Winter Wonderland” themed charity event to support the ‘Weinberg Food Bank’. This was the departments first time creating a fundraising event, and it was a huge success.

The Customer Experience team, is a brand-new Department who started in October 2018 at the corporate office in Wilkes Barre, PA. The new Department at Sundance Vacations ensures guest’s satisfaction and comfort by providing courteous, efficient, and personalized service to all clients. This position is responsible for all aspects of the reservation process by answering telephones, handling reservations, accepting payments, and acting as a resource center for all internal guest requests.

The Winter Wonderland event was held on Friday, December 13th.

Each Customer Experience Representative had their own stations which they were in charge of. Some people were selling delicious baked goods, hot coco and gluten free apple crisp, and even homemade cash bath bombs with up to a $20.00 bill inside. There were also games including Just Dance, which is a dance competition played on the Xbox. The dancer with the best moves, won Star Points which can be used for paid days off or just about anything imaginable.

There was also a “Naughty or Nice” punch game.  The object of the game was to punch a circle and find a piece of paper in the cup. The paper then signified if you were naughty or nice. Depending on what you got in the cup, you would then select a naughty or nice grab bag. If you were lucky, you would have got one of Santa’s famous reindeer with an extra special grab bag! Sue from the Customer Experience department took home five of Santa’s reindeer that day! Talk about good luck!

The most popular station was the department manager, Valerie’s ‘CX Holiday Menu.’ Her meals brought in an impressive $300.00! They were prepped and frozen which made for an easy dinner later in the week. The three options to choose from were: Creole Shrimp with Bow Tie Pasta, Kung Pao Chicken and Balsamic Honey Glazed Pork Medallions. The dinners sold out before the charity event came to an end.

While enjoying the ‘Winter Wonderland’ festivities, employees were able to enter raffle prizes.. The raffles included a wine and candy cane decoration, a Gift Certificate to T.C. Riley’s and a bottle of wine, A Yeti cup adventure basket, A Bark Box for your favorite four legged friend, a gourmet chocolate basket, a beauty basket which was full of beauty products and finally, a homemade four foot Grinch yard ornament. The raffles pulled in the most money at $380.00.
