For the past twenty-two years, Newswatch 16’s morning meteorologist Joe Snedeker and the whole WNEP news team have been dedicated to helping St. Josephs Center. St. Joseph’s Center was started by a group of volunteers more than a century ago, and they continue to honor the core values of Care, Concern, Compassion and Commitment. The center is designed to help individuals who have been diagnosed with intellectual disabilities or developmental delay, pregnant women, young families, couples hoping to adopt, and for people who require outpatient therapy. They can find the help they need here at St. Josephs Center.

Sundance Vacations was recently featured on air at the WNEP News Station. They presented Joe Snedeker with a generous donation check to support Go Joe 22. Joe also got the charity an additional donation because he stuffed himself into a suitcase, which was then zipped closed and wheeled away on camera!

The $4,004.00 which was donated by Sundance Vacations is going to be used to remodel the twelve bathrooms at the Main Center, which is the home of eighty-eight individuals. It will also assist with the upcoming renovations and relocation of the Trinity Child Care Center, a daycare for children who are medically fragile, to a new, larger facility.

Go Joe 22 was a week-long charity bike ride that started in Ohio near New Philadelphia and ended in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Along the way, Joe made his pit stops in Pittsburgh, Punxsutawney, and State College. At the end of the long journey, they also held a two-night telethon to raise more money. After they combined the Go Joe 22 funding with the telethon, an impressive $385,249 was raised in total for St. Joseph Center.
