Sundance Vacations Employees Volunteer, Fundraise and More for Blue Chip

Sundance Vacations Wilkes-Barre, PA employees have been hard at work helping a local animal shelter in the neighboring town of Dallas, Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge.

Every year, the VIP team organizes multiple benefits for Blue Chip towards the beginning of spring.

Employees kicked off the fundraising by selling Super Bowl blocks back in January, 2017.

The Wilkes-Barre office raised $100 from one board and four other faithful employees sold entire blocks outside of work to tally in another $400.

After the success of the Super Bowl hype, VIP employees kept the ball rolling by promoting a hoagie fundraiser.

They teamed up with the local TNT Subs in Nanticoke to sell eight and twelve inch hoagies and sold dozens of cold sandwiches to raise another $200.

In addition to the sales, employees could pay $5 to dress down in the office that day too, so it was a real hit for those who participated in both lunch and the casual day!

The VIP team wrapped it all up with the “purrfect” volunteer day in the “Cat House” at Blue Chip. Here the team helped to clean animal pens, change out bedding, wash water dishes, fill the food and more.

All in all, the VIP team raised $800 and spent a day volunteering their time and effort for Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge.

This isn’t the first time that our Sundance Vacations Wilkes-Barre team has helped the animal shelter.

Some Sundance Vacations employees volunteered at Blue Chip last year and participated in another hoagie sale.

Rochell Zambotti, a Marketing Manager at our Wilkes-Barre office, led the fundraising efforts for her team as she has the past few years at Sundance Vacations.

“We’re so thrilled that we could help our favorite animal shelter again this year,” Rochell said. “We have fun doing everything, and our effort goes a long way.”

Our VIP department is looking forward to helping again next year!
