Sundance Vacations Wilkes-Barre’s IT Department Held its Third Annual Barbeque
The Sundance Vacations Information Technology (IT) department from the corporate office in Wilkes Barre, PA recently spoiled their fellow coworkers by preparing their 3rd Annual Beer B-Que supporting the St. Vincent de Paul soup kitchen. In preparation of the Beer BQ, the IT crew got together on Memorial Day to brew two special craft beers. One was a dark IPA and the other was a gluten free honey ale.
The beer BQ was held on July 26th and was stocked with burgers and hotdogs which the IT department grilled themselves! There was also potato salad and other snacks for all to enjoy. During the day there was a silent auction, which a number of tech-savy prizes were awarded, including a thermo-electric cooler, three HP Office Jet all-in-one printers, a Harry and David gift basket including a Fitbit watch, a 50/50 drawing, dress down days and more!
The IT department was able to raise $891 for the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen! Co-owners Tina & John Dowd also donated an additional $109.00 to round up to an even $1,000.00! The day was perfect for an outside event, the sun was shining, and the weather was absolutely perfect! We got to kick back and relax while playing ‘Kubb’ (Viking Chess) and corn hole! Tina and John even participated in the games!
