On September 19, 2022, the Lackawanna and Luzerne County Medical Societies’ 8th Annual Golf Tournament and Clambake took place in Moosic, PA and was held to raise funds and donations to provide scholarships for medical students through The Medical Heritage Foundation. The event was held in a COVID-friendly environment that was socially distanced and safe for all attendees! Sundance Vacations was overjoyed to aid in the Lackawanna and Luzerne County Medical Societies and the LCMS Golf Committee’s mission, and donated an 8 day/7 night vacation certificate to benefit the event.

The Medical Heritage Foundation’s mission is to provide scholarships to aspiring physicians from both counties who attend Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and continue to bring quality health care to our community. Their goal is to support local medical students who remain in the area to practice. 2021 scholarship winners were announced at the tournament. Congratulations to all!
