On Sunday, August 5, 2018, the Family Service Association held its 10th Annual Pauly Friedman 5K Family Walk/Run at Misericordia University!

All proceeds raised benefited the Help Line/211 which provides NEPA residents with 24/7 telephone information, referral, advocacy, and after hour crisis support 365 days a year. The Help Line has handled over 2.8 million calls since the start of operations in 1972, with 85,420 callers just last year!

The cost of the walk/run was $25 per person or $20 per student, with an additional $5 up-charge after July 19.

Registration for the Walk/Run began at 8:00 AM and the walk/run started at 9:00 AM. After the Walk/Run, there was a post-race award event which will include refreshments, music, face painting, gift basket raffles and more! This year, there was 183 participants in the fundraiser!

Post-race awards include:

1st, 2nd and 3rd place runners, with best overall times in the following age categories:

15 & Under
16-19
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60 & Over

Awards for Walkers:

Trophies were awarded for first place overall Male and Female walkers, with medals also awarded to the 2nd and 3rd place walkers.
