Employees in Tamaqua Donate Toys to Schuylkill and Carbon County

Our Sundance Vacations Tamaqua office employees started their holiday shopping for the Toys for Tots of Schuykill and Carbon County, Pennsylvania early this year.

The Tamaqua team wanted to have an ugly sweater contest to get in the holiday spirit. But when the employees glanced over at their empty Toys for Tots donation bin, Sundance Vacations Tamaqua Day office manager Bonnie Whah encouraged her employees to think of a fun way to tie in both the contest and donation collection.

That’s when they decided that if employees brought in a toy to donate, they could wear a festive sweater to work. As you can see, they did just that!

The Sundance Vacations employees wrapped their toys and stuck them under their Christmas tree. There they will sit for a few days before being donated to Toys for Tots!

Whah tells us that her employees really showed initiative by thinking of others and finding a creative way to give back this December.

“Even though toys aren’t the true meaning of the holidays,” said one Tamaqua employee, “every child deserves that little bit of magic!”

We’re inspired by our Tamaqua team and hope that others are too this holiday season!
