Shamokin Employees Donate Toys for Area Youth
Our Sundance Vacations Shamokin employees teamed up with the Shamokin Police Department two weeks ago to prepare for a holiday party benefiting local youth.
Shamokin office employees purchased twenty gifts out of their own pocket to contribute to the Shamokin Police Department’s Christmas celebration to benefit the less fortunate in their local community.
In addition to the gifts, Sundance Vacations employees donated several rolls of wrapping paper. Volunteers from the CERT ambulance Crime Watch wrapped the gifts to stick under the tree for the party on Friday December 23, 2016.
Sundance Vacations also donated $200 for additional help with the event!
The Shamokin office was inspired to give back by a day-shift telephone service representative, Tonya Rosetta, who tells us that all year long we focus on our own lives.
“All children deserve a Christmas,” Rosetta told Sundance Vacations. “Even one gift under the tree helps to keep the magic of the season and Santa Claus alive for most kids.”
Sundance Vacations Shamokin office employees plan on doing more charitable acts in 2017 as their New Year’s resolution!
