Sundance Vacations Sponsors the Family Service Association 9th Annual Pauly Friedman 5K Family Walk/Run!

Sunday, August 6, 2017, the Family Service Association held its 9th Annual Pauly Friedman 5K Family Walk/Run! The Walk/Run course went through the beautiful Back Mountain and the Misericordia University campus.

The registration fee was $25 per person or $20 per student. Family and Corporate Teams were encouraged to participate as well! To be a team you would have needed 5 or more individuals. All proceeds raised benefit the Help Line/211 which provides NEPA residents with 24/7 telephone information, referral, advocacy, and after hour crisis support 365 days a year. Last year, the Help Line handled over 98,000 calls.

Registration for the Walk/Run began at 8:30 AM and the started at 9:30 AM. The first 300 participants who registered received a complimentary t-shirt! The post-race awards event, included refreshments, music, face painting, gift basket raffles and more!

This was a timed Walk/Run with medals and trophies awarded for the following categories:

1st, 2nd and 3rd place runners, with best overall times in the following age categories:

15 & Under
16-19
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60 & Over

Awards for Walkers:

Trophies were awarded for first place overall Male and Female walkers!
Medals were awarded to the 2nd and 3rd place walkers coming across the finish line.

Other Awards:

The Team who had the most participants took home the “Anne Glauber Team Spirit” traveling trophy!
The Team which raised the most money took home the “Answer the Call” traveling trophy!
