1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. This statistic found on the American Cancer Society website should be alarming. Luckily, there are generous people in our community who gather together for a yearly prize drawing to benefit the ACS. On Sunday, March 17th, CancerTelethon,org will be hosting their annual charity auction and basket raffle to support the American Cancer Society. Tickets for the event can be purchased online at www.CancerTelethon.org/auction or over the phone by calling 570-805-4555. Consider coming out to the Tamaqua Area High School to show support for this lifesaving organization. With the purchase of auction tickets, you could potentially win a number of special prizes, including, a Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop, a Frigidaire Refrigerator, a Nintendo Switch, or Sundance Vacations’ contribution—an 8-day/7-night vacation certificate to Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head Island. You have three chances to win one of these prizes and so much more for just $1.
