According to the 2022 United States National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 46.8 million Americans aged 12 and older (16.7%) battled a substance use disorder in the past year. The Christopher Bone Memorial Fund, established in 2019 in memory of Christopher Bone, aims to combat the stigma associated with substance abuse. The fund strives to educate others that addiction is a disease and emphasizes the importance of empathy for those struggling with addiction.

The Christopher Bone Memorial Fund offers scholarships to individuals seeking treatment at Little Creek, a local treatment facility in Lake Ariel, PA. These scholarships assist financially strained individuals and families with the costs associated with addiction treatment, including ancillary support services and sober living expenses.

A fundraiser event took place on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club in Mountain Top, PA. The event featured 52 golf teams, a Chinese raffle, dinner, and awards. Sundance Vacations donated an 8-day/7-night vacation certificate to be won during the raffle. Meaghan Bone, a Sundance Vacations employee and cousin of Christopher Bone, shared her thoughts on the event: “It was a beautiful day. We enjoyed the sunshine, and my aunt wanted to ‘par-tee’ in celebration of her son, Christopher. We shared our favorite stories, looked at old pictures, and remembered him fondly.”
