The Kiwanis Club was founded in Detroit, Michigan in 1915.
Now, with locations in over 80 nations, the Kiwanis Club has a number of local chapters that share a common goal: to assist the community in whatever it may need. In this way, the needs for each community may be different, but the will to help is the same.
They offer many services; members stage nearly 150,00 service project and raise nearly $100 million each year for communities, families, and future projects.
It’s really just as much about making friends as it is helping to club members.
The Kiwanis Club focuses on serving children, offering a number of clubs for youth to become active in the community, including the popular high school Key Club, which allows students to become leaders in their communities.
Any contribution to the Kiwanis International Foundation will reach children through grants, scholarship programs, and youth programs.
