Sundance Vacations proudly supports the Family Promise of Carbon County! The Family Promise of Carbon County is a nonprofit 501 (3) organization serving homeless and low income families in the county and surrounding area.
Family Promise takes existing resources from their churches and uses them to form and find networks of people who are willing to house homeless families.
The Family Promise of Carbon County opened their doors in 2011 and since then have changed the lives of numerous people in the county.
With 12 congregations who are willing to house homeless families in their buildings, families have a place to stay for 7 consecutive nights, 4 times per year.
As of January 2015, Family Promise assisted 34 families that included 109 individuals, 27 children ages 6-18, and 32 children 5 and under. Their average length of stay in 2014 was 54 days, down from 90 in 2013.
