The mission of Faces of the World is to empower indigenous people by preserving and celebrating their diversity through art education, cultural exchange and embracing tolerance.
The non-profits founder is a portrait painter named Stephen Bennett who started the effort to capture the soulful faces of people across the world who he found inspiration in on his trips.
Bennett saw how his paining can be used for good and used his talent to start a charity.
Faces of the World has an ultimate goal: to teach and inspire a new generation to become curious and accepting towards the amazing cultural diversity of the world as well as themselves.
The charity accomplishes this through Portrait Workshops and World Portraits Exhibits that promote cultural exchange and acceptance.
Money is raised from the sale of his paintings, commissions, donations, and sponsorship.
Bennett hopes to complete an international exhibition of 1000 world portraits to spread diversity and acceptance through the arts.
