For over 25 years the Brodhead Watershed Association has been ensuring the protection and improving the water and environment throughout the Brodhead and Cherry creek watershed.
Based in Henryville, Pennsylvania, the Brodhead Watershed Association has been assisting the local communities and municipalities by providing education, stream monitoring through volunteers, stream cleanups and much more.
A watershed by definition is water network that connects communities to a water resource and they wish to keep that connection through community efforts.
The Brodhead Watershed Association promotes community activism to ensure the water resources that flow through the community stay clean.
They host a number of events and meetings to ensure the waters stay maintained.
The association urges those to get involved in their various Brodhead Watershed Association Programs. Volunteer opportunities can be short-term or long-term and they encourage help on their Board and the association is always actively seeking help.
