The Erie Community Foundation is a collection of charitable endowments that are managed under the umbrella of a single public charity.
Offering both grants and scholarships as well as the ability to create your own fund, this charity covers a lot of ground in the non-profit area.
Sundance Vacations partners with the Erie Community Foundation to help the Foundation for Free Enterprise and other charities with their Erie Gives program.
The Erie Community Foundation’s mission is to evaluate and address community issues to improve the quality of life for all. They promote philanthropic and community leadership and encourage people to donate to contribute towards estate planning objectives for their favorite charities.
Each year, the foundation and its affiliates in Corry, North East and Union City, award scholarships collectively over $500,00 to 400 deserving students in the Erie area.
In 2013 they disbursed 2,041 grants, totaling $11.4 Million and are recognized for practicing in accordance with the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations.
