Gift of Life Family House, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, opened in July 2011 and serves as a “home away from home” for transplant patients and their families by providing temporary, affordable lodging and supportive services to those who travel to Philadelphia for transplant-related care.
The Family House is a 30-room facility located at 4th and Callowhill Streets, convenient to the region’s eight transplant centers.
The Family House also provides support for families beyond its four walls through the Family House Caregiver Lifeline Program, an integrated network of online educational resources, outreach programs and support services tailored specifically to caregivers of transplant patients.
Gift of Life Family House is an affiliate of Gift of Life Donor Program.
Since 1974, Gift of Life Donor Program has worked to coordinate life-saving and life-enhancing transplants for those waiting, while supporting the generous donors and their families who have chosen to give others a second chance through organ donation.
Gift of Life is a nonprofit organization serving the eastern half of Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware.
